My name is Shin.
私は 日本人です。
I’m Japanese.
京都に 住んでいます。
I live in Kyoto.
I was an elementary school teacher for 13 years.
When I was a child, I had a dream of doing a job that would connect me with people all over the world.
To make that dream come true, I quit my job as an elementary school teacher.
The goal
One of the challenges I am taking on is to “create a place where people can learn Japanese for free.”
Some people living in Japan say, “I can’t speak Japanese at all,” or “I’m having trouble because I don’t understand Japanese.”
I would like to create a website that will help people who do not understand Japanese to feel a little more at ease about living in Japan.
Volunteer
I am a Japanese language volunteer using TikTok’s live streaming function.
I do live broadcasts where I speak slowly in Japanese for people who don’t understand Japanese yet.
In 2024, I practiced conversation with guests and over 1,000 people.
I am very happy to receive feedback such as “It was my first time speaking with a Japanese person!” and “I was happy to be able to speak Japanese!”
I would like to continue my activities in order to give confidence to as many people as possible who need Japanese.
